Fantastic news! Kalahari plains camp, currently an adventures camp, is upgrading to a classic camp on 1 December 2013. While the camp has always operated at a high level, the guest experience will now be even better. The upgrade includes:

• A larger staff complement, ensuring an improved in-camp experience.
• New menus, bringing kalahari plains in line with the highly rated meals on offer at our other classic camps.
• A maximum of seven guests per vehicle and the option of a private vehicle.

In addition, the flying prices will also be heavily discounted year round.

Kalahari plains camp is easily combined with the okavango delta and chobe/linyanti regions. As a dry area of botswana this camp showcases a completely different wilderness perspective to its wetland areas and offers the best chances of seeing rare species like cheetah, honey badger, cape fox, brown hyaena and bat-eared fox. It is also unique in that guests are able to learn about the fascinating lives of the local bushman. It is also the only camp in the country to offer the option of sleeping in star beds!
