We’ve done it! We heard your requests and have decided to take the plunge and upgrade Kalahari Plains Camp from the Adventures to Classic category. As of 1 December 2013, and in time for our peak season, the camp will open its doors as a Classic Camp.

Upgrades to the camp and experience include:
· Additional game drive vehicles, meaning a maximum of 7 guests per vehicle and the option of a private vehicle
· A larger staff complement, and thus a higher staff to guest ratio and service level
· A new menu and food concept bring the camp in line with our other highly rated Classic camps in Botswana

In addition, we have reduced the cost of the seat rate on Wilderness Air on this leg meaning that Kalahari Plains can now easily, confidently and cost effectively be combined with a Classic camp itinerary in the Okavango Delta and Linyanti.

All of these improvements coincide with the launch of the very competitively priced Six Countries Summer Special which includes Kalahari Plains Camp.

Kalahari Plains Camp is an ideal complement to any northern Botswana safari in the Okavango Delta and Linyanti. Situated in the vast Central Kalahari Game Reserve, the camp offers the opportunity to experience a totally different range of species and landscapes to those further north including the best chance of seeing more unusual carnivores like Cheetah, Honey Badger, Bat-eared Fox, Cape Fox and even Brown Hyaena. Our guests are also able to learn about the fascinating lives and beliefs of the local Bushmen and to sleep out on a unique star bed under one of the most spectacular skies you could hope to see.
